Greystones One

Greystones One

This self-catering cottage accommodates up to six people in two bedrooms. One has a 4ft6in double bed, the other has two singles. The large sitting room / dining room has two metal-action sofa beds. The cottage is fully carpeted and tastefully decorated and furnished.

A separate well-equipped kitchen is all-electric and has cooker, toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge, automatic washing machine, and tumble drier. The refurbished bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath, hand basin, and lavatory. The lounge has an open fire place, with a back boiler, for use during the winter months (coal can be ordered in advance). A television and video player are provided. There is also an iron and ironing board and a vacuum cleaner.

Built in 1902, Greystones were the officers cottages for the Victorian Garrison. The door in the picture was the original entrance. It is now the entrance to the middle of three cottages: Greystones One. This picture was taken in the middle of January!

 

 

Greystones Two

Greystones Two will sleep up to four people in comfortable self-catering accomodation. There are twin beds in the bedroom and a large double sofa bed in the lounge/dining room. There is a drop leaf table and chairs, coffee table and combi television/video.

The separate kitchen (newly fitted in January '09) is fully-equipped with: combi oven/microwave, hob, fridge, washing machine, toaster and kettle. There is an iron and ironing board available. The bedroom, sitting room and bathroom are all fully carpeted and tastefully decorated. The recently re-fitted bathroom has an electric shower, bath, hand wash basin and toilet.

Greystones Two

 
Greystones Two is a granite stone built cottage, attached to Greystones One. It is an end terrace cottage set inside a moat and has a shared garden area.

 

The Tower

The Tower

This unique Old Lookout Tower was originally built in the 1600s as a windmill, and was converted to a lookout tower as part of the Garrison fortifications. It has now been converted into self-catering holiday accommodation to take two people.

The accommodation is on four levels and consists of a double bedroom at the top, with a balcony and seven windows, giving exceptional views of the islands. There is a 4ft6in double bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a hanging wardrobe. The bedroom is fully carpeted.

The second-floor sitting room has a small two-seater sofa, drop leaf table, chairs and a television. It has a polished wood floor with a large rug. On the next level down is a fully equipped, though compact kitchen. It comprises of cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster.

The bathroom with shower, lavatory and hand basin is on the ground floor, access gained down some fairly steep external stone steps. There is a barbeque and garden furniture in the garden.

The Tower is situated in a lush garden with chairs and a BBQ  

 

Cedar Cottage

A new, three-bedroomed self-catering cottage on two floors. On the ground floor there are two twin bedrooms, a bathroom with wash basin, bath, shower, WC and towel rail, and a dining kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher.

Upstairs, there is a double bedroom bedroom (with en-suite shower room) and a lounge with superb views across Peninnis and most of St Marys.

The cottage is tastefully decorated and fully carpeted. It has double glazing. There is garden furniture and a BBQ in the garden as well as a rotary drier. The private garden is enclosed.
